ND isn't that good. They've barely beaten the likes of average teams like Purdue (below .500), Michigan, BYU (below .500) and lucked out against Pitt (below .500). ALL of those games at home. Include them barely getting by Stanford (a solid team) at home in OT, and that's five wins by just 22 total points. And yet, people actually think they deserve a spot in the title game. Please....
ugh, i hate to say it but i'm kind of looking forward to the post EJ manuel era. guy threw into two high safety coverage a minute ago and now he didn't see that corner blitz. i can understand this from a young QB but dude is a 5th year senior. how do you not recognize this shit? funny thing is he can do it on a whiteboard just not at game time pace or whatever.
of course, freeman screws up by not running straight ahead after a toss sweep and trying to bounce it out. this game really shows how important CT4 is to this team. just the best all-around back on the team. very solid in pass blocking, great at cutbacks and has that second gear that neither wilder jr or freeman really possess.
poor coaching like the nc state game but if noles lose this, it's hard to look past EJ. i said it before...good luck to whoever drafts him. his real time awareness would scare the hell out of me even though he has physical traits and intangibles.
OTOH, defense and o-line didn't exactly play lights out today either...
v tech is now in FG range. this season is officially a huge disaster.
