They should have lost to Pitt. Why cry about this now when 1 or more teams could lose? Why not wait to cross this bridge when we come to it?

Nope. 24-0.

Oh look, Notre Dame is going to go undefeated now. Actually I still think to lose to USC.

Ugh... the headache that is conference realignment isn't over... looks like rumors are that Maryland & Rutgers are going to the B1G, what a joke. Wish this would just end. The greed of college football is just a joke.

Someone explain to me what the Big Ten gains from adding Maryland? Their athletic department is in the red, below average football, average basketball, so-so academics... I guess you add some of the NY and DC tv markets, but it's not like Maryland has a strangle on either of them. Their olympic sports do very well... Though it's not like that's taken into consideration with conference realignment talks.

Doesn't really make sense.

I hope the ACC steals Penn State. Make it happen Swofford.

Holy crap, did anyone see that goal line stand for Ohio State?

4th and 1 inside the two yard line. Wisconsin rushes up the middle, reaches the ball over, and the defense pops out and straight into an OSU defender. At the least he would have had the first down if he holds on to the ball.

14 teams gives them a bigger TV deal. They can't get ND and there were no other obvious candidates available.

I'm just stunned that Maryland is considering leaving though. They've been in that conference for nearly 60 years. I'm not a nostalgia freak but it would be a shame for them to leave simply for the TV money.

Wisconsin running the ball up the middle with 30 seconds left and no timeouts Gain 3 yards and lose 11 seconds.

Of course they get a touchdown anyway. 8 seconds remaining. xp from tying. I hope they go for the win. FtOSU

It does nothing but hurt the conference. It might get them more bucks in the short term, but it hurts the brand, and takes away chances for the schools like Purdue or Minnesota to play some bigger schools in the other division.

Who wants to watch an Indiana-Maryland game anyways? This expansion is a joke. TV market is an overstated word anyway, DC/Baltimore & NYC are pro football towns. There isn't ANY interest in Rutgers football in NYC area.

Why hate on Maryland? Their football team is going through serious injury problems. They're down to their 5th string QB. Average basketball? WTF? They won the NC more recently than any Big 10 team. They have a nice, young team that had a really close game with #3 UK. The Big 10 would be getting a nice basketball team and a football team that might be able to turn it around.

It's a shame because of ACC basketball, but football is pretty mediocre in the conference.

How does it hurt the conference or brand at all? As I already pointed out, Maryland has won an NC in basketball more recently than any Big 10 team. The conference hasn't been winning shit so how would adding anyone for that matter hurt the conference?

In basketball? Yes. In football? Who wants to watch Indiana play football anyways?
