true and yeah like the other guy said, 2nd imo.

You could certainly make a good case for 2 but I always thought their greatest asset was the twin towers. Players 2-4 on that squad are separated by next to nothing in terms of importance.

They've yet to play a single game yet and we're jumping to this conclusion?

Need to see how things play out. If Kobe can set aside his ego and let Nash run the offense, then the Lakers could easily improve to a top 3 offense.

i can see that too i guess. I just think we know pau kobe bynum is a fail, where as nash kobe pau might actually still be a great big 3. Or nash kobe bynum. But nash gasol bynum or kobe gasol bynum.. eh. So nash being 2nd makes sense t me

i agree.

he's been central to their success in recent times. Every time he's been out, the lakers have looked ordinary.

They are WAY too dependent on him...

Nash isn't the best player on the team but could be the most important because of the role he'll be playing.

I'm so happy we got him!!!!

How are Lakers so dependent on Nash and they haven't even played a single game yet? If Nash were to go down, Kobe basically would just be in control on the ball for the majority again, which should result in no less than a 3 seed once again, with a full training camp with Mike Brown.

I don't think Nash is the best, but he will be most important. He's gotta make sure Kobe gets his 25-30 points, while keeping the big men down low involved. All Nash has to do is facilitate and hit the occasional 3, which is what he does best.

Replaced by Blake another spot up shooter. Shouldn't be that big of a deal since they won't be taking advantage of his other skills while Kobe hogs the ball.

If lakers get Howard.... it would be Howard most important, Nash second, Kobe/Gasol third etc.
