Imagine a scene happening like this in today's NBA, I think there would be multiple year long suspensions while back then not a single player was suspended.

These guys were white, and they didn't have today's monster broadcast deals.

Andy Johnson and Woody Sauldsberry were black but I kind of agree. Massive fights in hockey continue to this day though not as big as in the 70's and 80's with little talk while basketball players are thugs.

Fights that involved fans as well as players were pretty common in the 1950s, '60s, and in the '70s to a lesser degree. If the Malice At the Palace had occurred in 1974, it would have been just another pro basketball fight.

NBA is a respectable pro league why would you even want to compare it to NHL? If I wanted to watch dudes fight I would watch UFC.

NBA is far from respectable. A f*cking ref got arrested for fixing games. David Stern has said some stupid shit on interviews and you have analysts complaining about games being fixed. On top of that there adding ads to the jerseys for money. This is coming from somebody who does NOT believe the league is rigged. Either way the vast majority believes the NBA is ran pretty poorly.

NHL is ran much better. I get you were prob trying to make a joke but probably should have changed "respectable" to "popular" because that's about the only thing NBA has on NHL. I like both leagues, I like the NBA more simply because I like the game better. As does the vast majority of America.

I suggest you watch neither and kill yourself.
