Are US Olympic Announcers Biased Against Gabby Douglas?
All you hear from the announcers is that she can't "handle the pressure." Seems odd for someone that accounted for 1/3 of the teams points and performed better than every other American. On top of that, she actually won the USA qualifying.
I know they are mad because their girl didn't make it but let us be real. Gabby out preformed her in the prelims and she did it again. Let's not act like it is a fluke. Give the girl some props and respect. She has earned it.

On top of this the girls seem to treat her like she isn't a part of the group.
Mate, I've taken some crazy drugs in my day that made me see things that weren't there. But even the sober mind can see things very vividly that dont really exist, if it tries hard enough to see them.
Now with that being said, who is Gabby Douglas and what are you talking about?

They sounded more shocked that Aly Raisman made the all around than anything.
So, I guess it is odd for an Olympic athlete to feel pressure. I'm sure no one else felt pressure. Seemed odd that the whole dialogue was about her feeling pressure and not how she out performed that girl for the second straight time.
Seems odd when the announcer is constantly shocked at how high her score is but is consistently shocked out how low the other girl is...thought you weren't supposed to root for athletes when you were commentating.

Jesus man, you sound overly sensitive to the point hare trying to find something to complain about. She was openly nervous. You could see her teammates having to talk to her.

I can make an informed rational judgement on the situation based on how hot she is.

nope, you sound like you aren't very perceptive. Girl comes out of nowhere and is the USA biggest contributor and get very little of the dialogue. That isn't odd to you. She outperforms every other USA team member and get very little of the broadcast centered on her. Instead, the whole time they are talking about how she is screwing up. She literally got no props the entire broadcast.

If you're talkin about today and not last night please dont post results. I'm doing a good job staying off the sports sites.

Mate, I just looked up this lass. Is race what you're on about here? Bloody hell. Keep your eye on the ball mate. Life moves pretty quickly, if you don't stop and look around once in a while you might miss it.
To spend your time watching and analyzing girls gymnastics is one thing, then to concoct some racial paranoia and gripe on a message board! Well I just don't think it's a keen way to spend one's time. Find a life, mate.
Re: Are US Olympic Announcers Biased Against Gabby Douglas?
I don't think they're biased against her, I just think they're going for the more dramatic story. I mean which one sounds like a more gripping Olympic story
Douglas: "The best girl on the team finishes with the best numbers on the team, makes it to the all around and is favorited to win. Continues to do the best as expected"
or
Weiber: "Former best on the team narrowly misses out on qualifying, is devastated, pulls herself together and helps lead team to gold, finally smiling and having her gold medal after being in tears 2 days before due to failure"
Basically there's more story in "high, low, high" than there is in "high, high, high". I don't think they're ignoring Gabby, I think they just like Weiber's story better cuz there's more drama.
