Default Cavs 2012-13 schedule set

Fox Sports Ohio:

The Cavs open the season Oct. 30 at home against the Wizards. It's one of just three games to tip off the 2012-13 season, and the lone one of the night that won't be televised by TNT. But Cavs and Wizards fans should be treated to seeing two backcourts of the future – the Cavs' featuring Kyrie Irving and No. 4 overall draft pick Dion Waiters, the Wizards' featuring John Wall and No. 3 overall pick Bradley Beal.

Since everyone always wants to know, the Cavs meet old friend (enemy?) LeBron James and the Heat on the following dates: at Miami, Nov. 24; at Miami, Feb. 24; at Cleveland, March 20; and at Cleveland, April 15. The last one is the Cavs' final home game of the regular season.

That kinda sucks that one of the Heat games is the last game because LeBron will be sitting. We made it to national TV twice this year, against Chicago and LA Lakers, both on ESPN. First time since Bron left. I am going to have to flip back and forth on opening night between our game and Boston/Miami.

Akron Beacon Journal:

Ten of the Cavs’ first 16 games are against teams that made the playoffs last season, and that doesn’t include an early season game at Brooklyn against a Nets team that should be vastly improved following the addition of Joe Johnson.

The Cavs open at home Oct. 30 against the Washington Wizards, then host the Chicago Bulls before departing on a grueling 11-day, six-city trip that spans from Brooklyn to Los Angeles and includes stops in all four time zones.

They play four games in five nights on four different occasions and 22 games, or more than one-fourth of their season, will be played on back-to-back nights.

Well the beginning of the season should be a good test for the Cavaliers to see how well the play together.
