Clearly a three horse race. This was a topic that from 2008-2010 was primarily between Larry Fitzgerald and Andre Johnson. However, last year while Fitzgerald got back into the 1400+ yards range, Andre missed over half the season and Megatron exploded onto the scene with a full-season tear up more dominant than either have ever had, with the physical tools and youth superior to both.
Even as a Cardinals fan, I'd concede Andre was the #1 in the game from '08-'10 with Larry occupying the #2 spot. He's not nearly as physically gifted as either, but his work ethic, route running, coordination and hands are amongst the best by far, particularly the latter two. If you saw him perform in the playoffs, you'd know he is also incredibly clutch with the ability to take over games. He's been the most durable and consistent as well. AJ however, is the only one of the three on the wrong side of 30 and has dealt with injuries over the last two years.
For 2012 going in, I personally have it:
01 - Calvin Johnson
02 - Larry Fitzgerald
03 - Andre Johnson
I don't think it's a 3 horse race. Calvin Johnson sits firmly on the mantle.....then it becomes a race between others for 2nd like Fitzgerald, Johnson, Steve Smith, Roddy White, etc.... shit, you could even throw in AJ Green as he's going to get more accustomed to the offense, with his quarterback...and a full off-season/training camp to improve upon his skills.
Roddy is a great player. I think Fitz is better, as well as a healthy Johnson....but nobody should be throwing fits someone would choose him for 2012 over those guys.
Not top 5 discussion? You don't watch him a lot I'm guessing.
There's a big drop off from these three to the next receiver. Andre's injuries scare me though as a Texans fan. I wouldn't be surprised if AJ Green replaced Andre, dude is THAT good.

Roddy can't be top 5 until he learns to catch the ball. Him and Brandon Marshall drop a ridiculous amount of balls for receivers that talented.
Yeah I believe White led the NFL in drops last year...IMO if you have White in your top 5 then Julio should be in there as well...those of us that did watch know they are 1a and 1b on that team right now...very hard to say who is better between the two.

Not really. Those who know anything know that White is better than Julio at this point and it really isn't close. Julio is still very very raw.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Julio have a very good argument for being placed above Roddy after this season. I put him at 3 on my list because of his consistency over the past 5 years. Only Fitz has been able to consistently put up the numbers Roddy has each of the past 5 seasons. In terms of talent, Roddy isn't top 3 but he has stayed healthy and productive every year.
