1. I couldnt care less about your biased ass opinion on matters. OK St > Baylor
2. Skins gave up a ton to get in position to draft RGIII. No team does that and is concerned with the selection. Cousins has zero relation in how confident the Skins are with RGIII. You're the only idiot who thinks this way. Why draft Cousins? Many were critical of the decision and it had little to do with "They must not think too highly of RGIII even tho they gave up a ton of value for him". Skins fans argue backup, and value pick that could be shopped in a trade for something down the line. To their defense backups in the NFL have been shopped. See Matt Flynn. Kevin Kolb. I felt there was better value in other positions of need for Skins. THAT said, drafting Cousins has nothing to do with RGIII.
3. So next time spend your time explaining what makes Cousins > RGIII.
It's an evaluation based off of observations of his skillset. I think as a prospect he is at best a HUGE project with great potential, and at worst just a flat out bust of course. still a huge project nonetheless.
Same can be said for virtually any QB coming out of the college game into the NFL.
Cousins was pretty much taken to be groomed to be a backup QB that could maybe be dealed down the line. IMO I woulda preferred taking a player of larger positional need but he was the Shanny's best player on the board so whatever.
Again, Cousins is a backup QB. His ceiling is average starter in the NFL (not saying that he won't better, other random players have risen far above their potential). Below average arm strength, decent accuracy, not that athletic, good pocket presence
I have nothing against RG3, it's not a "oh the Colts took Luck over him so I gotta bash Griffin" thing. I just think he's too damn small. Dude's what, like 210?
Drew Brees is 6'0" 210lbs. RGIII is like 6'3" 225 lbs. If he fails, it won't be because of his size. RGIII already plays with more control and intelligence than Vick too so I don't think he will be at risk of injury the same way Vick is.
