I know his stats, and I watched a lot of his games. Lets not act as if that has little to do with the offense he was in and the vastly underrated receiving unit that surrounded him. if i haven't already explained myself, my concerns lie with his lack of poise in the pocket, the fact that he wasn't asked to go through very many progressions at all, and his general inaccuracy with receivers who weren't wide open. the reason i say he is less developed than most is because of how little was asked of him, and how easily flustered he would become when his first option was suppressed. he really was a one read and run qb. if he has immediate success on the pro level, that certainly testifies to his abilities to adjust and he would definitely be worth that pick.

I know pretty much nothing about jake locker, as I basically already said. I stated that he has the physical tools. what that has to do with his propensity to run and his accuracy, i really don't know

Bump.

Anyone see that idiot Cowboy Thunder? He's hiding after Weeden's putrid performance.

lol, I wish I had been on record in this thread backing RG3 but I didnt post in it.

I will have to take solace in the fact that I have been telling people on TexAgs they were idiots to act like RG3 got his butt kicked against A&M last year even though the final score was A&M 55 - Baylor 28.

most impressive thing for me was, outside a few designed runs, he only ran as a last resort. he also spread the ball out. no one got more than six targets and four players got four or more targets. it's very common for rookies to lock on to one receiver but RGIII avoided that. he did a decent job of reading the defense and going through his progressions.

now, i do question how often they throw him out there on designed runs. he's not cam. he's really not that much bigger than vick.

Two best QB's I've ever seen with my own eyes:

1. Sam Bradford
2. Brandon Weeden

> Robert Griffin III, Colt McCoy, Ryan Tannehill, Blaine Gabbertt, Stephen McGee, Jerrod Johnson, Vince Young, Landry Jones, Jason White, Paul Thompson, Taylor Martinez, etc., etc., etc.
Couldn't have seen more than 2 QBs total

Not many if they know anything about RG3. He would prefer to throw first and run as needed. He threw the best deep ball I've seen in college, has a gun for an arm and is as accurate as I have ever seen a qb. I'm amazed the Cowboy guy was so dismissive of RG3.

dude's a okie state homer...what do you expect? baylor's just one of their rivals so he hates on everything related to them just because. prime's the same way. he knows his football but i'm pretty sure he even knows he's biased. any QB/RB that plays for OU is a 1st rounder and future HOF'er. if they play on the cowboys after coming from oklahoma = goat contention
