Just opponent PPG doesn't factor in pace. They played at the slowest pace in the league which, while an offensive stat, by nature limits the amount of touches the offense of the other team gets.
Here is a list of defensive efficiency which takes pace of play out of the equation so all teams are on an equal playing field and gives an estimate of how many points a team gives up per 100 possessions:
Here they sit @ #16.These numbers are a tad different than how basketball-reference.com calculates their defensive rating but they still are rated #15 on that site.
