Maybe the game is based too much on athleticism than skill (shooting). You see white players "excel" on the college level but are complete bust in the league.

This may sound controversial but I think that a majority of young white Americans have an inferiority complex with blacks in regards to basketball, that Europeans do not have.

If that was the case then how do you explain all of the talented European white players?

A lot of it is perception. Many very good white players feel the system will never allow them to get into the athletic positions and they know that blacks will ALWAYS get the benefit of the doubt in recruiting/scholarships.

Just ask Steve Nash. or jeremy Lin.

Could be. And on the other side, black people have a superiority complex when it comes to basketball.

I was on a Texas state championship basketball team in high school. I could have played at a small college, but I preferred going to a bigger college with my friends than playing basketball for a division 2 school.

Anyway, I was in the school gym with some of my friends one day, and there were some black football players in there. They were cocky as hell thinking they could play basketball just because they were black and athletic. No way the white dudes could compete they thought.

They were terrible. They really sucked. I lit them up so bad.. it looked like an NBA all-star game. I was dunking on them... and I'm only like 6'2".

They were terrible and couldn't believe a white guy was ripping them apart.

And on the flip side, I'm pretty sure the other white guys I was playing with were intimidated by the black guys because they just assumed they could play basketball.

This is not the 60's, where the league were dominated by 5foot non athletic white dude..
