Default Modern top 10 of all times based on peak's

I've realized that the non-greats fade so quickly. Perfect example, Mike Bibby. He was a GREAT player and went toe to toe with Kobe clutch style and now he is just an after thought.

Rules for discussion, include a 7 to 12 year stretch and the associated numbers. No player that started before the 79-80 season. Most of us can't honestly know how good the players before then were, and the video clip evidence is so shaky that it is incomprehensible to realistically compare players from that era. Also, no jlauber Wilt Chamberlain tangent essay posts.

Say what?

Not many players, if any, played at their peak level for 7 to 12 years.

Shaq and Kobe come to mind first.
Shaq:13-14 seasons 1993-2006. Avg: 26-12-3 on 58% (holy sh*t!) 2.5 blocks
best season: 1999-2000: 30-13.6-4 57% 3.0 blocks

Kobe: 12 seasons 2001-2012. Avg: 28-6-5 on 45%
best season: 03, 06 or 08

7 to 12 years for a peak? That's arguably prime range, but long for most players primes in my opinion. I mean peoples definition of peaks vary, but I consider peak to be a single season, and the most I could see a peak being described as is around 3 seasons.

'91 Jordan
'67 Wilt
'00 Shaq
'94 Hakeem
'77 Kareem
'12 Lebron
'86 Bird
'87 Magic
'03 Duncan
'65 Russell

Not really in order but I suspect the top 10 would be this, peak to me is just single season or 2-3 seasons.

Only reason why I didn't rank them is because I don't know where Russell belongs. The others I feel like I know though.

I just read the part where it says it has to be after 79-80 so it would probably be this then..

1. 91 Jordan
2. 00 Shaq
3. 94 Hakeem
4. 12 Lebron
5. 87 Magic
6. 86 Bird
7. 03 Duncan
8. 06/08 Kobe
9. 04 Garnett
10. tie between 95 Robinson, 90 Barkley, and Moses
