Why not?

They were certainly better musicians. That's not even disputable. All there is to argue is who's songs you like better, which is subjective.

Neither of them were particularly good musicians in the traditional sense.

lol what? McCartney is one of the greatest bassists ever, and a damn good guitarist, songwriter, and vocalist.

Your claim that GNR are better musicians is laughable.

Agree to an extent, I think the Beatles are the best rock band ever because of their originality. creativity, wide array of genres they were able to play successfully and massive influence. Slash and Izzy are better than George and John as guitarists, though. Axl is better than any of the Beatles singers, but IMO prime Axl Rose is the greatest rock singer of all time, so...

Duff McKagan is a great bassist as well, let's be real.

yup. Him or Plant. I guess you can throw Ozzy in there just because of his impact.

For some reason Plant annoys me sometimes. He says "baby" too much IMO. I love Zeppelin, though, don't get me wrong. I love Ozzy, but he's not nearly as naturally gifted as either of them. In terms of how much I like listening to them, he's up there of course, though.

I guess we find different vocal styles pleasing, lol.

I don't like hard rock, metal, rap or hip hop.

. I've never disagreed with someone anymore than I am disagreeing with you right now. I agree with the first part, but that second part I can't logically say Slash and Izzy are better guitarists than John and George. I feel this is a terrible comparison. The Beatles were the first great rock band. GNR were awesome hard rock guys. And Axl can go to hell. I'd take Bon Scott or Roth as superior singers. Hell, I'd argue Brian Johnson is better too.

But to each their own. I have AC/DC and Death as my favorite bands, and I get GNR as your favorite.

I legitimately hate many aspects of Axl Rose FYI. Doesn't mean I have ever heard rock a singer I considered better or even equal to him. I love AC/DC, but neither Scott or Johnson have the range and power of Rose IMO. David Lee Roth sucks WTF. I like Van Halen but he's not a good singer. Slash is better than George Harrison I fail to see how he's not. I just saw Slash recently he's pretty ****ing great, although he's overrated by a lot of people (and I'm a huge Slash stan)

Lennon, because y'know, he actually had worthwhile things to say. Working Class Hero is incredible.
