How does one shop with a tote bag?
I don't care about the eco crap. I know it's a stupid question.
Sometimes I shop at a store like Target or Walmart and they never have any baskets. I go there to buy some essentials, so maybe 4-8 items at most.
I don't want to use a wagon when I can fit everything on the top part of the wagon. It gets too crowded in the stores a lot of the time and it's just a pain in the ass weaving around people or having to leave the wagon one place and walk down the aisle. Plus I like to shop in mid-day (still crowded, I know...) and there's so many slow, fragile, and rude old bags or stay-at-home mothers with their bratty children/babies.
I also don't like to carry the items around like some hobo dumpster diving. Mostly because some stuff can get bulky and if I have to hold the crap up against my chest when I'm walking, it's time for a basket of some sort. But I do that anyway.
So I just bring the bag with me and throw stuff in there? Couldn't women have big purses and achieve the same thing? Except they would just be stealing the stuff. But who would know the difference?
And checking out... Throw the bag on the conveyor belt or take the items out like you would with a wagon? How does the cashier not know you aren't hiding something in the bag if the former?
I know, I know. But I would rather look like a dumbass on here than a tote virgin in real life. And someone on here must be that douche bag who walks around at Whole Foods with their tote bag. Give me the procedure, please?
