The only advantage Dwight may have was vertical leaping, that's it. Shaq was quicker, more agile, just more athletic in general. But he was also skilled. Skills that Dwight is just getting to learn now, Shaq had since day 1, and of course he just kept improving.
But another major difference between the two was Shaq's aggressiveness.
If Shaq only kept his weight down and stayed the same size, he would be a top 5 player of all time.
I know his weight got out of hand after knee surgery that prevented him to maintain his weight but if he had the work ethic he would be dominating longer.
At his prime..no one can stop him. Giving him the ball was a sure thing.
You don't need a jumpshot..nothing..if u can slam on people every possession basically.

There's no if. He's top 5, or top 7 at the absolute lowest.
And some poster here believes that Wilt would destroyed him 1 on 1..
I honestly think Wilt would get injured if he played prime Shaq 1v1. No disrespect but he just doesn't have the strength to go toe to toe with Shaq. He would get dunked on repeatedly and break his arm trying to block one of the dunks.

Wilt can bench 500 pounds... and mountain lion>Shaq.
