Default When are we ever going to see a center capable of playing point?

Are we ever going to see a center versatile enough to bring the ball up the court and direct/make a play while also able to go into to post and also wreck havish?

And Plz don't give me lebron or magic They are big enough

Contradict yourself much?

Also, Magic won Finals MVP basically playing center and point guard. LeBron just did the same thing.

I remember when I was watching a Timberwolves-Pistons game in '04, when the Pistons used to sub in Mike James and Lindsay Hunter to do some intense full court press, the Twolves had to rely on KG to bring the ball up when Sam Cassell wasn't in the game. It was incredible. Darrick Martin couldn't even get it to halfcourt.

Prime Vlade Divac was able to do that occasionally... he said also he was always a point-guard before he had his massive growth spurt..

well your question is rigged so the answer is an ultimate no. because if you're going to say that pau or kg aren't legit centers and it has to be somebody like shaq it's a no. because shaq isn't shaq if he handles like a guard.

But officially a Center (i assume you mean a 7 footer) playing/starting PG will probably never happen, its just against the physics of nature for them to be efficient handling the ball and playmaking without fumbling the ball / causing turnovers... they are not quick/agile/quick/fast enough and are not coordinated enough and dont have the footwork needed, that can be overlooked if they had super ballhandling, but even so they have a ridicilously high dribble (very easy to poke/steal the ball when that 7 footer brings the ball up, especially under full court press when those speedy gonzaleses run around you like hyenas)...

Not even PFs/SFs can be efficient at PG (due to the exact same problem as above, to somewhat lesser extent as the above, but still not enough)... the only SF/PF sized players in NBA history to actually start/play PG (and do so very well) were Magic Johnson (who started/played PG most of his career) and Lebron James (who started/played PG in the NBA often, who is the best/only point-forward in the NBA anyways)... basically only 2 players in NBA history who were 6'8"++ were able to ever at some point start/play PG in the NBA...... and these two got away with it due to their freakish athleticism at their size (Magic didnt have a nasty vertical but he was extremly quick/fast/agile/coordinated) and freakish ballhandling/ballsecurity for their size and freakish passing/vision for their size....

I know it's just hypothetical ?

but mentality is what ruins the sport.....

there is NO reason for a 7 foot man to be bringing the ball up the court...

his height is a HUGE advantage and he should be as close to rim as possible exploiting that advantage.... the exceptions are the great shooters who operate better and create more space by doing their thing outside....but 7 foot point guards? shit is silly
