Heat handle Nets in semifinals Game 1
James was typically efficient (10-for-15 shooting) while finishing with 22 points and five rebounds. Three other Miami starters scored in double digits, including Wade (14 points, 33 minutes), as the Heat was clearly the more aggressive team following a week of waiting for its second-round opponent.
The Nets, meanwhile, played a nail-biter in Toronto just two days earlier. Tuesday’s game turned on Miami’s 15-2 run in the third quarter, when James beat his chest, and the Nets couldn’t get their opponent out of the paint.
“(The Heat) came out running at home like they were supposed to,” Kevin Garnett said. “Now it is our job to try to steal one in Game 2. We got to do it with some aggression and putting them on their heels. I feel like attacking them more than we did (Tuesday).”
