must be something in the water over in portland... pretty upsetting their string of unfortunate injuries. Oden and Roy topping that list of in important, but damn, hopefully williams can make a speedy recovery.

they should have selected Michael Jordan.

In Portland would he have ever recovered from his broken foot? As much as he hated it, the Bulls organization may have saved his career by keeping him out much longer than the initial report of 6 weeks. If they had their way he would likely miss the entire season.

Broken Foot Will Keep Bulls' Jordan Sidelined for Six Weeks

November 05, 1985

Michael Jordan will be lost to the Chicago Bulls for at least six weeks because of a broken bone in his foot.

Jordan, last season's rookie of the year, injured his foot when he came down hard on it in the second quarter of last Tuesday's game against Golden State at Oakland. The first X-rays taken of Jordan's foot failed to show the break, but Jordan was X-rayed again when the Bulls returned to Chicago and the break showed up this time.

Jordan broke his left navicular tarsal, a small bone in his left foot, a Bulls' spokesperson said.

Chicago has lost both of the games it has played without Jordan, who previously had never missed a game because of injury dating back to his days at Laney High School in North Carolina.

Jordan, 22, had 33 points and 29 points in his first two games this season and had 12 in the Golden State game before he was injured.

Williams, 23, missed his entire rookie season after having surgery on both of his knees. Then, after proving to be one of the few bright spots in an otherwise forgettable 2011-12 Blazers season, Williams dislocated his shoulder March 8 and never returned.

They are obviously drafting what others know to be injury prone players. Fire that entire medical staff or the people who aren't listening to them if they are raising red flags.

Ok, can someone explain to me why exactly Portland got cursed? Did they screw someone over a long time ago? Why does this keep happening to them?

Right, Prysbilla

But I don't think (well, I wish) Walton and Bowie didn't use the same equipment as today with the same medical staff

Can't believe it's just one department. Has to be a combination of things. I'm sure the Blazers would love to figure it out.

If I ever were to visit Portland, I would be afraid to come off the plane. Would probably tear my ACL and MCL just getting off.

He can not catch a break, fire our damn medical staff!
On the bright side Barton will have a bigger role now.

I'm convinced the training staff is terrible, however we have had major injuries to many of our best players throughout franchise history before the current staff (especially to centers).
