as far as wins and loses go sure...but as far as trying to judge who has the best defense, yardage is the way to go IMO, not Ws and Ls or points...that doesn't always equate to who IS the best
who judges the best defenses on how many games a team wins or loses?
Really? Have you not watched the recent games? I'm talking about Tramon and Charles, the guys who've been the primary cover guys the last couple of seasons.

I am just laughing at the thought of Bush and Shields getting physical with a receiver.
Of course every team runs a cover-2...its the most basic defense in all of football, two safeties playing deep.
No one here has touched a football i swear to god...
How retarded are you?
The best defenses stop you from scoring. Yardage isn't the almighty measurement.
The 2000 Ravens were second in yardage allowed but they are one of the best defenses in NFL History and the best that season. According to your logic they would be the 2nd best defense because you don't think out your stances on topics.
The cover two point was to show you that some good and great defenses give stuff underneath and keep things in front of them because preventing scores is their number one goal.

yes it is dumb fck, when rating defenses yardage is the standard, when someone on ESPN or NFL Net or ANY sports related media says "Blah Blah has the top rated defense" they are reffering TO YARDAGE, not points.

what the fck?...I don't think you know what a cover-2 is or means...every team in the league runs a cover-1, and cover-2, a cover-3, and a cover-4(prevent), they aren't game long schemes that certain teams run the entire game, they are determined by what down it is, yardage needed, blitzing, etc.
don't post in here if you are just going to pretend like you know what you are talking about in an effort to troll...go back to the OTC
Oh yeah that's right, I forgot everyone is super classy on the NY subway...
you should care about losing regular season games btw...you might not get free gifts to get in the post season this year
People don't spit on pictures, dumbass. How much time do you spend on the NY Subway?
Yes, i'm so hurt you beat us in Game 1 this year as opposed to the playoff game in our FIRST SUPERBOWL RUN IN THE LAST FIVE YEARS and the two times we swept you in the last four weeks last year in our SECOND SUPERBOWL RUN IN THE LAST FIVE YEARS.
You're so butthurt it's not funny, i say you will win the but the Seahawks are not a guaranteed win at home and you get all insulted.
As far as yardage it's a good indicator but the problem is if you have a team like the Pats that score a lot of points, they'll play prevent a lot and give up a lot of yardage in garbage time. Look at the Jets last week, the defense played great but the running yards against are skewed (as well as total yards) because they gave up a crapload when the game was done.
That Ravens defense to me yardage was a good indicator becuase they barely let you move.
