with the rumor of daniels comin to tdot for mike james and joey graham what would you think, as raptors fans, about this trade if it went down??? is it great for us?? how does this change things for us??? jus wanna kno ur input....and some other guys on another forum said daniels can play point , do u think he can???
wow i didnt know joey graham was involved, if thats the case then NO! i thought it was just mike james signed and traded for daniels, which was good for us as we would get a young player who is a good contributor from a winning situation and will be a great boost off the bench. he'd also fill our need for a back up SG to mo peterson
thats the best deal ive seen for us to get for mike james, however i wouldnt do it if joey graham was invloved (i'd just use him more instead) and i think dallas will re-sign jason terry anyway so i cant see them wanting mike
well heres the deal.....i heard that daniels can be traded for mike james and joey graham....but i also read that mike james is being packged for a trade that will be for marquis daniels.....
I definitely say hold on to Joey. He's going to be solid. James for Daniels would be amazing though. If Colangelo pulled that off then us Raps fans have a great future ahead.

we should drop downt he draft a bit and get another solid big man and a draft pick (maybe #7 and kendrick perkins from boston, or #5 and zaza from atlanta) then draft marcus williams, do this trade (without joey graham)

would be a grat young team, very well balanced
also daniels contract has about 3 years left on it, around 5.5m, 6m, 6.5m, then a team option at 7m
its not great but you have to spend some money on your bench to be a real contender
and a bench with daniels and graham off of it would be 2 nice offensive weapons to give us a boost, calderon gives us his energy, humphires is a good rebounder, perkins is a shot blocker

That would be a bad trade. Graham and James would be too much for Daniels. Daniels is alright for James straight up, but Graham has too much potential to give up on.
I cant see why we would make that trade, why would we have to give up Joey and James to get Daniels? doesnt make any sense, we would be better off just letting Mike J go and using the cap space, Daniels aint worth it.
To play devil's advocate, Marquis Daniels would instantly give us another good defender at the swing position, a combination of Peterson and Daniels on the floor would be quite capable defensively, something we have not put out in a long time. He is still very young and can grow with the current core. Mike James doesn't belong in Toronto, he did very well for his time in Toronto but it's time to go. Joey Graham didn't prove anything last year, while it hurts to lose out on his potential, if there is any, acquiring Daniels would instantly boost our defensive capabilities as a team.
Now, I am not saying that I agree with the trade, but trying to shine the light on the other side since it seems to be neglected.
