How many times has all 4 home teams won in a Wild Card week?

I'm sure the number is low.

Honestly, since I have no horse in the race this time around, it's going to be tough for this weekend to live up to the last couple days of football.

Look at Mr. Neutral Indifference.

NFL is better than NCAA. By a good margin. Yes, the playoff format and the Bowl games were a lot of fun but this is America's burning concubine.

Ready to hopefully watch the Steelers whoop the Ravens ass. Writing a little blog preview of the games.

Will post when completed.

You make it seem as if all 4 home teams are a cinch to win. I wouldn't be surprised if it goes 2-2.

Every game this weekend is more meaningful than all but three of the college games. Most of which are played to kill time and make money for the school. The shitfaced bowl, the whorry sorority girl bowl. I liked the playoff games but let's not pretend those were two great games. FSU couldn't have made more mistakes if that was their goal.

It looks like Nick Fairley will not be able to play.

Still will be an epic battle at the line... Dallas Oline vs Detroit Dline

I 100% agree with you on the home field thing. You can't change letting division winners into playoffs no matter the record because then why have divisions and divisional games in football rule. But you can do home field by record. Solves that problem and doesn't kill divisional game importance. It's a simple fix which is why Goodell can't see it. He'd rather just add 12 teams.

No one expected Fairley to play, that was a pipe dream. I think this is a closer matchup than people think but i can't see Detroit scoring enough points to stay with Dallas. Close for a half, then Detroit chases you to a 34-20 type of loss. The only way i see Dallas losing is if the turnover bug suddenly pops up.

I think the best solution would be to force division winners to be over .500

If the winner of the division is not over .500 then a 3rd wild card team is created and that division gets no playoff team.

So with this year for example Carolina would be out and Philly in...AFC would be unchanged

I don't see what the big deal is. A team wins their division, they should be entitled to an automatic playoff birth, regardless of regular season record. Besides, the Panthers have proven to be a playoff-caliber team and will most likely win today (so what if it's against a 3rd string qb, injuries are part of the game).

We were very close to having a 6-10 team in the post season while an 11-5 team watches from home. To me that is a problem.

If you're under .500, which means you lost the majority of your games, you really shouldn't be in the playoffs IMO.
