What? He's had Heap for most of his career (only last year + a couple games) and Boldin isn't a true #1? And Rice is a major factor out of the backfield. He's arguably the best. Ryan has nothing close to him.

Heap wasn't a great or even upper echelon tight end while Flacco was there.

Don't you remember Heap was coming off injury? He hasn't been the same Heap since like, 2005? Maybe it was 2006. All I know is it was a pretty long time ago.

Boldin isn't a true #1 either, IMO. There are very few true number 1 receivers out there and he's not one of 'em. He's declined noticeably to me from three, four years ago. Slower, more sluggish, doesn't get great separation.

playoff wins are on the team as a whole and a horrible way of ranking QBs

When Flacco is on, he can do major damage, he has great touch around the redzone and on his deep ball. Like I said, he has velocity too on every necessary throw. He has def had off games and cost the Ravens but he has been steadily progressing and growing as an assertive playmaker needed to go out and win them as opposed when he was younger just playing not to lose.

I've prolly seen like 90-95% of his games and the guy has gotten steadily better while Ryan came in as the more talented guy but has remained a little stagnant. Plus, he has two beastly number 1 caliber guys gettin open for him.

The last sentence is pure . OF course a dude who loves Romo would try to hammer home your last opinion. Truth be told, Flacco has been way more clutch than Romo the past few seasons seeing as his offense has been carried into the deep rounds and Romo still has one lousy game to hang his weak ass mesh Starter cap on

It would honestly be a tough choice for me. I might be a little biased because I don't see ATL as much but Flacco has steadily won me over each year.

well, matt ryan has regular season success while flacco has won many playoff games. matt ryan is winless in the playoffs, and as far as i'm concerned, flacco should have won that afc championship game if that WR doesn't drop a sure touchdown with 30 seconds left.

We'll see if this is how you feel if the Romo led Cowboys have any playoff success. We may not ever have to worry about that, though.

If Dallas has success this year it will most certainly be because the team around Romo has improved...he is playing the same as he always has

I'm rolling with Flacco. He drove down the field and had his wr drop a very catchable game winning td. Flacco has improved steadily in the playoffs and he plays in a much tougher division. Matt is a better regular season guy, but you make your mark in the playoffs.

Dilfer is 6'4" and also had a cannon arm when he came out of college. Flacco is also a game manager who is lucky to be in the Baltimore organization.

Flacco simply isn't a great QB. Every time someone makes a top QBs under 30 list he's routinely slotted in at #5, behind Ryan, with the caveat that his playoff victories are considered as bonus points. Flacco is a placeholder QB. Good enough to fill in fine until you have the opportunity to get a real star at the position.

Joe Flacco isn't even that good of a playoff performer. We got some recency bias going on here. He played well in the AFC championship game last year but that was it. Every other time he has been horrible in the playoffs.

Played well vs. the Texans before the Pats game, year before he played well vs. KC

He has his fair share of bad performances, but most of those came in his rookie year and 2nd year.

You're an idiot. Who was conducting the offense and had his hands on the ball the most? That's who I thought...

U jus don't want ppl thinking Flacco more effective at winning big games than Bead Eyed Homo.

Flacco had plenty of big throws off the top of my head that won them games and coulda won them the AFC *cough cough* Lee Evans AFC Championship.

It's obvious u know nothing about the Ravens, the defense is diminishing and the offense will do their job. Bet.
