Bradford is underrated? The thing about Bradford is that I haven't seen the guy make any progress as a QB since his rookie year, that's concerning. He looks like the same guy as he was as a rookie, I'm not saying I'm a huge expert and watch every game, but at some point it's not always the supporting cast that you point out all the time.

Stafford is in the same group as Romo, yes. Romo is 6-10 area, and I would say he's at 8-9 but it's interchangeable.

Bradford has played better than Stafford this year...and better than his ROY year so far

last year he was injured

I think Romo is top 10, closer to 10 than 5. I think we are too easily discounting past accomplishments of QB's as invalid, Rivers had a good year before last year fell apart and has been good so far this year so treating him like he's fallen off greatly is a stretch. Peyton too. I think Romo needs to have some playoff success before we give him more credit. The big mistake is ok, but you have to counter it and overcome it. When Romo makes the big mistake, it tends to not get fixed later on.

If you told me by end of year ROmo will be solid top 5 i don't think that's impossible but i don't think it's probably either.

Brees is still in my top-3 but I have to say if he keeps playing like he has been this year the days of him being viewed as a top level elite will be over soon...

He has been making some really bad decisions and doesn't look like the Brees we are all used to seeing

He doesn't have his coach. I remember telling people the Saints are going to miss the playoffs. They have a timing offense that's very complex, need the points to win because their defense is average at best, and they spent the entire offseason doing everything and anything aside from preparing. I don't think early on it's fair to judge Brees off of this.

Like utahjazzfan said, he is in that Rivers, Cutler, Ryan range. I think they are all QBs who need some help at the skill positions because they can't be as successful without some sort of explosivrness.

And just like Gobb said, they're pretty much interchangeable. They've all had minimal playoff success and haven't been able to carry teams far enough like the top tier guys. I think inky two conference championship games between those guys. And maybe two or three wins in total so they aren't coming through when their team needs them the most.

everyone believes that stupid nonsense too...

here you go chief:

Tony Romo 4th quarter

Quote:
Since 2006 no quarterback -- not Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Drew Brees or Aaron Rodgers, has a better fourth-quarter passer rating than Romo (100.0). Only Brees (39) and Philip Rivers (39) have more fourth-quarter touchdown passes than Romo's 34. Only Brees (5,905), Manning (4,886) and Rivers (4,751) have more fourth-quarter yards than Romo's 4,712.

has thrown 17 fourth-quarter interceptions, which is fewer than Brees (25), Brett Favre (25), Eli Manning (27), Jay Cutler (22) and Ben Roethlisberger (22) among others. Brady has just 11. Peyton Manning has 13.

We've all seen him make big mistakes in big moments. We've all seen him overthrow the receiver at the end of a game, not drive the team down field, throw the ball into Revis's hands. You quote stats like we don't all get to see tons of games and we haven't seen the pattern of the big mistake and the big loss. To the Giants. To the Eagles.

We've had this conversation 100 times, not every moment is equivalent. Throwing a pick when you can win the game and gifting it (like he did to the Jets in week 1) is not equivalent to Manning tossing the ball to the Jets up 10 in week 16 (and winning).

EVERY QB that has played more than a few years has made big mistakes in big moments...believe it or not Romo has made less than the average QB

He is just under a media microscope

Romo threw away less games than Eli and Vick last year during the regualr season...but no one would know that because the Lions and Jets games where big news to everyone while Vick and Eli's struggles didn't get any ESPN time

You didn't watch the Giants very much last year so you should stop speaking on them. Our losses included two Redskin games where the entire team was flat. Eli did not fail to lead us down field at the end, it was a group suckfest. We lost to Seattle where you can blame Eli if you like but Cruz helped big time. Arizona where we decided again not to play. (Note that our defense gave up tons of yardage and made no big 4th qtr stops in those games.)

Eagle game Eli was bad (2nd one). SF we got stopped on downs by SF defense after Eli brought us back several times. (That was the game we lost all the LB's, SF ate us up over the middle 2nd half.)

And the GB game where defense let Rodgers drive field in 10 seconds practically when we had lead. And Saints score 927 pts on us.

Where are the games Eli threw the ball away to lose it? And note that unlike you, i'm not cutting and pasting stats, because i SAW THE GAMES.

Want to talk about Romo losses off the top of my head? Because not ONE Giants loss had mistakes by Eli has bad as when Romo threw a pass to Revis in his own territory when he had the game to win.
