Re: What do you think of Tony Romo? Top 10? Top 5? Your thoughts...
No, it won't be the same Romo because the same Romo would mean he would be playing average to poorly in the playoffs/big games, in which case the Cowboys probably won't be winning a title.
Romo will have to do what he has never done - play well in the big games consistently.

Top 5? You'd have to be a homer to say he's Top 10, MLT5. Let's all be honest here, Tony Romo fits the mold of "good old American boy" that a traditional Dallas Cowboys quarterback would, but his skill set isn't anywhere near the already established "elite" QBs and especially the up-and-coming ones. I honestly believe some other franchises would have already given up on dude and replaced him.
The NFL right now is experiencing an influx of QB talent and the position has never been this stacked and deep. What helps offset this depth of talent is the other end of the spectrum with the Matt Cassel's, McCoy's/Weeden's, etc. of the league. All this talent is unfortunate for Tony Romo, because it's beginning to truly exhibit just how "average" he is.
Personally, I'd say he's right around that Rank of 14-16 range out of 32. Face it people, he's the least best QB in his own division. The 'Boys will probably finish around 5-11 or 6-10, easily missing the post season and yet another disappointing year in the land of bright lights and big titties (Dallas; reference to Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2).
Tony Romo will never take Dallas to a SuperBowl, much less win one. Does he have the best weapons around him, not exactly, but he's working with some decent material. I like to compare Romo to Jake Delhomme - with Romo being a more polished and solidified version. When he's on, he can be a force to be reckoned with, and when he's off, got damn he's off. Case in point, tonight's performance.

Did it ever occur to you that talking the NFL with you is enhanced painstaking to the majority of us here? Vick getting benched? He lead the Eagles to a critical high pressure coming off all the negative comments win with zero turnovers against the SuperBowl champs, so no sorry chump, no way Vick is getting benched. Every single game of this season he gives Philly the best chance to win, regardless of his performance the week before, etc.
However, I can see a glimpse of possible arguments to Vick being *considered* as an extremely unlikely, yet *possible* benched decision, but only if it came to him having another nightmare turnover performance accompanied with a loss; and even still, it would take multiple more losses in the same fashion before Reid would pull the trigger on Vick.
... but "come on man!" Tony Romo Top 4! Forget Top 5, Top 4 baby!
There's zero need to elaborate here. Not only would you have to be in Dallas to Rank dude Top 5, you'd have to be in Dallas, injecting heroine, smoking crack and coming off a night of extreme binge drinking to push him even higher up the ladder.

Bradford > Stafford?
Matthew Stafford last season 41 TD 16 INT 5k+ passing yards. Yet... Sam Bradford is the better QB.
So I suppose there's simply no contest, since Tony Romo is the 4th best QB in the league, this must put Stafford outside the Top 10. You like to argue stats are the flagship means of rating a QB, oh but in the case of Stafford it doesn't count.
Ask any GM ... ask any owner ... if they were to pick a QB to build their franchise around, Romo or Stafford, I think we all know who they're going with (regardless of age, youth, etc).
I will admit Stafford is frail. He's injury prone, but dude is no doubt a stud and surely on his way to being a truly "elite" QB among the best of 'em, perhaps a truly legit "Top 4" QB in time, something Romo will obviously NEVER accomplish.
