6:03. Ran JV cross country in HS. I just could never get past that wall. If you're a runner, then you know what I'm talking about. My average 5k times in high school were 19:50 - 20:15. Only ran 2 varsity races throughout high school. But I'm glad I did it. Kept me in great shape.

I never tested it. I can do 0.5 of a mile in about 3.5 minutes. So I'm probably between 6-7 minutes on a mile.

It's ISH. Everyone here has a 10 inch p*nis, can bench 400 lbs, and regularly dates supermodels.

I was a sprinter and was terrible at distance (for somebody who was athletic), so I think my best was about 6 even.

Not that unrealistic. 5 flat is an upperend high school track JV time. 5:59 is fairly easily attainable for the general public.

This isn't nearly as bad as the "how many pullups can you do?" thread. Most of these replies are actually reasonable. I was a pretty awful runner in middle school, but I was pretty active with sports. I did track 8th grade year and brought my time down from 6:50 at the start of the year to a 5:48 at the league meet. I don't think it is unreasonable for a lot of people to be in a similar boat as me.

Oh and I'm a Junior running cross country for a D2 school, and I've run 4:35.

For the American general public?

We're not on a track forum. We're on ISH.

A basketball forum where most people are active and play the game. Running around and playing full court ball enough can get you to under a 6:00 mile. Start this thread on a running forum and the slowest you would see is probably close to 5 flat.

If it takes you about 3.5 minutes to do half a mile, a full mile would take you longer than 7 minutes.

100, 200, and 400, plus the relays (4x100, 4x400).

100: 11.10
200: 22.71
400: 51.0 was my fastest open 400, but I didn't run open 400s in my last 2 seasons when I improved and I had a hand time of 49 seconds in a 4x400.
