Default Better peak - Ray Allen vs. Carmelo Anthony

Who do you guys think was better when they were at their absolute best?

I think most of us would agree that Ray had the better career but what about when they were at their absolute best?

The correct answer would be JJ Redick.

But this is another worthless ill-conceived thread made by a renowned ISH troll that will blow up in his face again.

I honestly believe Melo hasn't found a true identity yet in his career. He really hasn't tapped into his true peak. One thing that Ray has is his ability to adapt into a new environment and thrive and fully reach his peak which is clearly better than Melo. Ray shoots better, he was able to create in his peak and was able to defend at his position.

So far Ray allen

Other then scoring, Melo is not gonna held you do much else. Not saying Ray is an All-Time great All-Around talent, but he does more things then Melo for you.

He's entering his 10th season, he hasn't found his identity yet then he probably wont. Steve Nash did win his 1st MVP award in his 9th season, so who knows ...

I know it sounds off due to how long he's been in the league but there seemed to be alot of things that stifled Melo throughout his career. Having to step back when AI was dealt to Denver, lack off playoff success, starting over with NY..... He showed he can stand out while on team USA, if he can perform like that with consitancy and truly carry his current team who knows.

I'll admit it's probably too late, but there looked to be so much more.

2009 Melo was on another level than Ray's peak. I don't understand these obvious vs threads. The only way you are even picking Ray is if you overhyped some bullshit intangibles which wouldn't make sense because both are clutch as ****, and Melo is better at everything outside of defense and shooting.

Sounds like Nash ... bench warmer in his first sting with the Suns behind Kidd, KJ and even Rex Chapman. In Dallas behind Dirk and Finley. So he had to start over a few times, taking a back seat more so then Melo ever did and still won 2 MVPs ...

Glen Rice stood out in the 97 All-Star game, not hard to stand out playing with other top talent.

Like what, passing? dribbling? He plays more in the post than Allen. But Ray is better off the ball.
