Same with CP3 over Iverson, no way has he surpassed Iverson in just half the time.
CP3 had a better peak and had just as good of a career as Iverson did, not to mention CP3 is very portable while Iverson isn't. Iverson needs specific requirements to succeed, CP3 doesn't and same with Pierce.

We're talking about a guy with better win shares than 4 of the centers in the Top 12 PLAYERS ever. And career numbers where he is Top 5 in NBA history, in shooting, rebounds, and blocks.

This should be an end thread with Artis getting on, and he should have already been on the list before.
Come on man, win shares?

I think Artist is underrated but got damn. Tryin to get him in by saying he has better win shares than Moses, Shaq, Dream and Russell when he didn't win any where close to these guys. Even Ewing who you mention he has more then, he didn't win as much as Patrick.

He should be one of the next centers to be voted in along with Bob Lanier and maybe Zo Mourning.

Wow Iverson is underrated on this site. You're a little younger than me, so you probably don't remember when AI won the league MVP and later that year leading the 6ers to the NBA Finals vs. Shaq/Kobe Lakers.

You must not remember when prime AI was considered better than Kobe and was a perennial All-NBA 1st teamer and prime Pierce was a perennial All-NBA 3rd teamer.

What does very portable mean, Andre Miller can adapt to any team well is he better than AI also?

CP3 hasn't done half of what Iverson has, which is because he's been in the league half as long as Iverson has. Of course he has a shot to surpass him, but a guy in his 7th season (not named LeBron James) has not passed Allen Iverson.

Again, being considered better and actually being better is two different things. Iverson probably peaked higher than Pierce did but Pierce peaked longer than Iverson did.

Also, nobody thinks Iverson was better than Kobe at any point and he probably wasn't..

No, because Miller isn't even close to the talent Iverson is. CP3 and Pierce actually are.

Portable means ability to adapt and play multiple roles on any team. Iverson is not very portable, CP3 and Pierce are. Pierce has shown it since KG/Ray came to Boston and CP3's game is portable just based off of how he plays. Those two can play multiple roles on a team, Iverson can only play one role and that's the first option/volume scorer. He can't impact the game in any other way nor does he choose to.

Adrian Dantley is another examples of someone who is not very portable. Dantley put up sexier numbers than Mark Aguirre but Aguirre fit in with the Pistons better which was why the Pistons were so much better with Mark opposed to with Adrian despite Adrian being the better talent and putting up better numbers.

As I said, in three years even if CP3 does nothing, people will say Cp3 surpassed Iverson. It is annoying how that works...

Probably, he did peak higher and they peaked about the same amount of time with Iverson being better. Iverson was crossing over Jordan while Pierce was still at Kansas. Iverson was still relevant until what 08, when Boston won the title. So that's about the same time as Pierce had.

So is Mark Aguire better than AD too? Again, they played in the same era and AD was considered better.

Other than AI not being "portable" I still see no reason how Pierce is like ten spots above Iverson?

After the 2001 season, I don't think Iverson was ever better than Pierce.

Iverson always took really dumb/bad shots in his career. There is a reason why the 76ers didn't miss a beat when they traded him away to Denver and there is a reason why the Nuggets got even better when they traded him to Detroit.

Volume scorers can break a team as well which is why most teams don't falter too bad when volume scorers have to sit out games.

Not as good of an all-around player as Pierce was either and Pierce has more star longevity than Iverson did.

It's only 8 spots by the way.

I actually wouldn't oppose to Iverson being bumped up 3-4 spots ahead of CP3, Durant, Dwight, and Mchale and next to Kidd. I just think those four give you a better chance to win than Iverson does though.

It's a personal opinion but I wouldn't be against it.

Pierce ahead of Iverson is correct though.
