Default Nets lose tough game to Lakers in LA

The Nets may have lost this game, but this was their best performance of the young season. They fell behind early when the Lakers tried to end the game in the first five minutes, but managed to fight back even after falling behind 10-0 less than three minutes in.

They also had their fair share of chances to win this game, as they led for large stretches of the game, including a significant portion of the fourth quarter. But the Lakers closed the game on a 17-6 run over the final 5:22 to close it out, as the Nets couldn’t hit any of the wide-open looks they were given down the stretch. Still, the Nets went toe-to-toe with the Lakers on the road in an emotionally charged atmosphere and, after taking a huge opening punch from the Lakers, nearly found a way to come away from this game with a win.
