To avoid talking about bullshit that distracts him from his ten million a year job. Saying no to your kids is ok.

Eli never gets in trouble, never does things that are distractions. Vick does all the time. Eli has two super bowls. Vick has none. Vick has more talent than Eli could even dream of having. If this was Eli the Giants would tell him not to get a dog, and he wouldn't.

It's not a big deal but since its not a big deal, why not just say no and avoid on game day answering questions about dogs? It's the fallacy of saying everything is ok because you look at them all separetely. It's like if you spend too much on everything but a tiny bit, a $1 here, a $1 there. Every single one separately is fine and can be argued it's ok. All together they add up and you wonder where your money went. Only as a group is it a problem.

Vick's not a bad guy (he honestly doesn't seem like one) but if there is a choice between distraction, or not - he almost always chooses distraction. And considering he's someone who needs to adjust his game in his 30's, i think the opposite would be better. Disagree if you want, Vick should be better than he is. He's a supreme talent but he's got holes in his game (doesn't recognize blitzes, doesn't make good decisions on holding the ball, etc.) that would be fixed if he had better concentration and worked on his craft more. He's 30 and his game is still primarily due to his fantastic athleticism. AT THIRTY.

I would hope most would disagree. If the Giants want to control the small details dictating the lives of their players and the children of their players, then that's their prerogative. The Eagles haven't said that Vick can't own a dog, the courts have said he can own a dog, and he didn't try to make it a public spectacle either. So his kids are happy, he's happy, and I'm sure that dog is happy getting spoiled by a family that can afford to spoil it.

Vick isn't a *****.. He's not gonna stop and analyze how every little decision he makes will be looked at by other people. This is something as simple as adopting a pet for his little kid. He's gonna deny her that to please assholes complaining about it?

Nicks to play Sunday. Tough game. Coughlin playing the underdog card "NO ONE RESPECTS US!". His players but in so much. The rest of us say REALLY? and roll our eyes but his players but into it 100%.

Not a terrible match up for us, teams that throw 40 times and can go with 4 receivers are worse for us than running teams. We need to stop the run with our front 4, if we need to send extra people to combat the run we are dead.

Stop taking things so literal. Almost every coach uses that as words of motivation to their players and that's exactly what it's used for.. I don't think any of the players actually care if ESPN respects them and I would imagine alot of them would like to go under the radar...

As for the gameplan no team can stop the run with just the D-line, it's just impossible. Most teams need 8 men in the box to counter running games. The niners have a physical offensive line that's pretty disciplined in the run game, they run alot of pulls, traps, motions, and they are great at getting to the second level.. Problem is the 49ers passing attack is much improved and the Giants will get burnt if they try sneaking a safety in the box.

I mean we can't commit too many extra people, basically exactly waht you said just you said it more eloquently. Your offense is too efficient, if you are running all over us and we need to concentrate on that, we're dead. But if not, we can handle the passing game because you don't have weapons that one on one are that scary (save your TE). Your receivers are not scary.

VERY tough game, i'm curious to see how we come out. Much like last year, I'd hate a tough loss, but id understand it. A 24-3 loss, that would be bad. A win would make me dance.
