For a couple of years now I've been convinced that sacre had a place and could be of value in the nba. So glad he seems to be in as good of spot as possible to get a shot to prove himself. The guy is big, athletic, and physical- its not like there are too many of those guys in the nba

Well with Dwight's bad back and if he rushes to play and possibly hurting his back again Sacre should get some quality minutes.

I really like Sacre. He kind of reminds me of Tyson Chandler. Long, athletic, and super passionate for the game. He's not as skilled, but he can be a solid backup in this league. Hell if Dan Gadzuric was for so many years, don't see why Sacre can't.

Sacre played for Gonzaga right?

I like his effort out there, although he does seem to foul a lot.

With Nash around he could certainly help this team in spurts this season.

He did. I went to about 4 or 5 of his games. I remember seeing quite a few scouts at those games too (Pat Riley and Mike Dunleavy were the most notable). Gonzaga was always the team that was favored and Sacre was the biggest player on the court but he could never seem to take over a game against inferior competition. I'm not sure he's going to last long in the NBA.

Not a great rebounder for his size, and not a guy who can take over a game, but the NBA has a lot of room for big bodies who run hard and aren't interested in taking over games.

With the amount of talent on that Laker roster, Sacre just needs to run the floor hard, provide a spark, finish when he is wide open, and challenge everything on defense (even if that means fouling a lot).

He fits in very well with this Laker team and now that Steve Nash is the GM of Basketball Canada, he has a vested interest in seeing Sacre improve.
