I want the Hawks in the 1st round and I've been saying this for a while.

They are by far the easiest opponent we can get. Their best player isn't really a good offensive player, can't shoot to save his life and is a liability on the free throw line.
Hawks are just a bunch of mediocre players. They aren't really good on offense and they aren't really good on offense. Definition of a mediocre team.
Also we would have all home games because Atlanta crowd is weak.

So guys, pray that we'll get to play the Hawks in the 1st round.
Bulls or Celtics would be much tougher opponent.

Which is why I don't get why so many Knicks fans want the 2 spot so bad. I want the Hawks. The 2 spot means we play Boston.

Wanna play the Hawks, real simple, dont win the division.

3rd seed gets the Bulls in a likely scenario.

I want Boston. Nothing would be better than being the team to finally put them out of their misery.

2nd seed -> boston in first, and indy/chi in 2nd
3rd seed -> chi in first, boston/indy in 2nd

4th seed-> hawks first, heat (lock) in 2nd

i like our chances with being a 2nd seed to advance to the ecf

you never know, dwade is injury prone, let those 8 -12 games pass where a injury bug may hit that team in the playoffs

i dont want chi-town at all in the first, never know if rose comes back at full force, indy has a beter chance knocking them out

and i like our matchups with indy in round 2 rather facing heat, and we shud get amare back for round 2 for some games under his belt and improve our bench

we can handle a rondo less boston team, just need melo to be focused like how he is now

They really are limping along quite enticingly. The Bulls would make for a good physical series.

we should avoid chicago at all costs. them winning tonight against the nets moves them into the 5th seed at the moment, which is the ideal outcome.

i think we would dismantle the hawks in 5 games. the celtics in 6 games at most. but the bulls would push it to a 7 game series and it could go either way considering our frontcourt is still not remotely healthy.

Give me Atlanta. By far the easiest matchup we could possibly get.

I can't really decide between Chicago and Boston.
Bulls are better defensively and have a size advantage which is tough because our bigs are injured. On the other hand the Celtics have KG and Pierce, better scoring but worse defense and much worse rebounding.

Can't really decide,I pray that we get Atlanta and easily move to the 2nd round where we would face the winner of Indiana/Boston series.

Only way is to get chicago to win more games and we get 3rd seed
So do we lose our game against chicago?

If Melo keeps playing like this, there should be no worry about Atlanta or Boston or whatever. Let's hope!

If that means we'll play against Atlanta in the first round then the obvious answer is YES.

Bulls schedule:
vs Orlando
@ Detroit
vs Toronto
vs New York
@ Toronto
@ Miami
@ Orlando
vs Washington

Hawks schedule:
vs Philadelphia
@ San Antonio
@ Philadelphia
vs Milwaukee
vs Toronto
@ New York

Let's say they go 4-2. That would put them at 46-36 to finish the season. Bulls would then need to go 5-3 to take the 5th seed which is quite possible.
If the Hawks go 3-3 then the Bulls just need to go 4-4 to take the 5th seed.

So if we beat the Hawks and lose to the Bulls we make ourselves a favor and quite possibly play Atlanta in the 1st round unless the Bulls choke on some easy games they should win.

While the #1 team I'm trying to avoid is the Bulls, be careful what you wish for by hoping we play the Celtics. That is a veteran team with championship continuity and experience. Doc Rivers will have those guys prepared and I highly doubt they come out playing how their record indicates. I don't think for one second that Rivers has KG sitting for them not to make a significant improvement. Those guys are pacing themselves for a playoff run. I'm not saying we can't beat them, but I would be surprised if it's an easy series.

End of the day though, I'm with Knicks city. I want ATL!
