Best scene came last when a zombie bit the shit out of that annoying old *** following by Rick hacking at his leg with an axe while trying to save him
I mean Hershell is gonna bleed out fast then turn, why not put him out of his misery right away?

He wont turn if they cauterize the wound fast enough. Same as in the comics. Glenn is heading for medical supplies and the infected part is removed frommthe body.

I posted most of this in another thread, but I'll put it here too.

The Walking Dead I felt was excellent last night. Far gorier and more violent than pretty much all of last season. None of the silly set pieces, like the Well scene last year. I like the jump forward in time. I feel like the entire point of a Zombie show is people on the run for survival, which is way quiet farmlife and washing clothes made so little sense last year. It was too easy for them. Watching them on the move, being aggressive, about to eat cat food, was the change of pace I felt this show was supposed to be anyway, and I liked last year more than most. Of course now they'll hunker down and be bound to this prison for a while. But I think it'll work pretty well.

I liked that Herschal got bit last night, it re-set the element of danger in the show. Re-introduced that bit of surprise.

I haven't read the comic books, but when last year's season finale introduced Michone, I was curious and looked into it, so I know a bit about the character. I honestly didn't like the idea, it felt too comic book-ish, to have this character with samarai skills leading to defanged zombies around, and didn't fit with what I felt was the impression of the show, which was a sort grounded look at survival in this sci-fi type environment, but last night I felt she was handled really well, and I have a good feeling about her as the b line for now.

This was one of my favorite episodes of all the seasons. It grabs you instantly at the beginning with some action. It looks like a few months have passed as we can now see Lori has a belly. Everybody looks mean and lean, but T-Dog hasn't lost a pound.....what's that boy eating?

I like how Rick finally stuck it to Lori. Just a simple thank you. Hopefully this will improve Lori's character

I've been trying to figure that out for awhile. What's the age difference between the 2 of them? I thought the blonde was a good 10 years older than Carl but the more I look at her the younger she actually looks. Carl looks like he got a lot older this season. Glad to see him man up and actually use a gun

she's supposed to be a high schooler I think. Carl's like 11 or 12. So she's supposed to be 5/6 years older.

I don't think they're going to make them a couple, that'd just be weird as shit, just be friends since they're the 2 youngins. That's how it is in the comics.

Word. I never read the comics, but that makes sense since the show is about zombies and not romance.

I'd still hit it even during a zombie apocalypse

Thoughts on the last episode?

What's the deal with the "governor" killing all those marines?

He wants to run shit. If those guys found his base they'd be loyal to themselves and eventually figure out what his secret doings are and wouldn't be loyal to him. They could even turn the populace against him. Also, killing them served his purpose of control of the people, remember his speech at the end? "They didn't have our walls!". He also got guns and vehicles from the whole deal.

It has to be more than just wanting to run shit. This dude keeps a fish tank of human heads in his bedroom

Its really just that. The guy has maintained a community through fear, he has followers and is power hungry.

Do we really need a better reason that's backed by some profound philosophy?

Michone is the coolest zombie killer there.... prior to her since episode 1 i always wondered why nobody was carrying around a Katana, its silent, doesnt atract any zombies and you wont need ammo, its the perfect zombie killing instrument... and then she came along late in season 2, with her buddies... hellz yes

There was also just to many clueless & weak survivors there for my taste, Michone alone balances it up... with a style/weapon that is in my taste
