I'm not sure, listed here, Kobe has a 6'11 wingspan while Wade is 6'10.75. Kobe is 1 inch taller.

However, Wade is wider than Kobe, so a lot of shoulder goes into that wingspan. Wade's standing reach is at 8'5 while Kobe's is 8'9.

I'm not taking this thread as cold hard evidence, just something I found that we can use to discuss.

You can't put Wade at one.
Quick...yes but that's all he has over the older statesmen Kobe Bryant.
Kobe can post better and score in too many ways.
And Kobe is no longer the lock down defender he once was...but Wade takes nights off on Dee sometimes. I would take Kobe over gambling any day.

Any how only Kobe haters and bandwagon Heat fans would agree with this list.

Kobe is a better man-defender. He will make it hard on whoever he's guarding. He's not as good a help defender as Lebron and Wade are.

They provide different kinds of defense.

Disagree totally. Look at the number 8 Afro Kobe when he played with Shaq. That's all he did was roam around and play great help defense.
AND he is (make that was) a lock down defender like you pointed out.

But come on remember the Kobe Shaq era that's what he did.

Actually, yeah, I remember. Kobe was a different animal back then. He was such a beast defensively, so much energy.

How about in 2010-2011 when Wade completely shut down Kobe down the stretch?

Wade has always been getting his against Kobe, and right NOW he is a better player. Simple as that.

Oh, okay. So Wade marginally outperformed Kobe in a game in 2011 so he's better.

In 2012, Kobe manhandled Wade. 33 pts 61% FG. Wade? 17 pts 41% FG.

Wade is CLEARLY the better player now.

Kobe brought the clinic to Wade last season... took him off the dribble and on pull up jumpers. Then, Kobe took his ass to the post to finish him off.

FACT Wade takes nights off on DEFENSE.

FACT Wade lead his team to the worst record in the NBA.

Need I say more?

Yeah the younger Kobe was AWSOME as a defensive roamer.
Fox use to take the lockdown duties back then while Shaq controlled the paint.
It let Kobe free to wreck havoc roamimg around on dee. It was a beautiful site and it help the Lakers to 3 straight titles.

Whoah10115 is starting to rub some people the wrong way
Default Re: FoxSports: Top 10 SG's in the NBA

I think that if Wade is healthy, he's the 2nd best player in the NBA.

But since Kobe has started declining, Wade has not been healthy. Two years ago, Kobe had the better season. Last year, Kobe wasn't even as good as he was in the previous year...and was much better than Wade, who was healthy.

So Wade has no argument for coming in ranked ahead of Bryant. Unless you're projecting, he has no argument.

And lol at those loling over Harden. Yes, Iso Joe is such a great player.
