edit: not intended as a bynum-hate/criticism thread.. i'm just wondering if anybody really thinks bynum is better than Dwight.

Yes, Dwight Howard is more athletic and better at catching lobs.

But yeah, with Nash and Pau there, he will get a lot of lobs thrown his way.

Potentially.. And last time I checked he hasn't played a game yet

I was a big fan of bynums potential, shame he was such an immature sook. Hoping he wakes up to himself in Philly..

Damn some of you Laker fans are so quick to turn on a player. Bynum hasn't even been gone that long, yet your already degrading him. At least appreciate his contributions while he was there. Yes, he didn't always make the smartest decisions, but he did make your team better.

A lot of Laker fans already disliked Bynum before he was traded.

Idk but the Lakers led the league in alley oops last season, most of them from Bynum.

Yes, Dwight Howard is a better basketball player than Andrew Bynum.

That's what OP wants to hear, right?

Pretty much. Don't know why he couldn't just admit it

Come now, cut the act. You were trying to see people come in here calling Dwight the supreme player of the two, and using the lob attribute as the bridge to those ends. As evident in the wording of your op.

Like I said, using this pre-season game to compare is fail-esque. Why not statistics or even footage from last year if your honest point is to compare each individual's capabilities in regards to rising for and completing a lob?

And then being a baby about my assessment of your post and negging me under the pretense of "still a ******" Yea, really shows you are a sensible poster
Are you schizo or something? Nothing you said is indicative of what i've said in this thread. At this point i'm not sure if your trying to put words in my thread because your trolling or just really upset.

From what i remember last year ... yes ... dude had BEAST games ... Lakers fans dwell in the inconsistency which is fair ... but he was amazing at times ... that 30 rebound game ... triple double in the playoffs for a CENTER ... wish him the best in Philly hopefully he takes the East right by the nuts

2nd best is the 1st loser.

haha j/k.

Bynum is the second best C in the league because of different reasons. He got a ton of good looks from Kobe and Pau, but he couldn't always take advantage of them the way Dwight can. He would finish well with his soft hands, but rarely finished as strong as Dwight.

The only thing Bynum might be better than Dwight at is actually posting up and getting his own look. Dwight turns the ball over a lot more, despite all the criticisms towards Bynum about not being able to handle doubles. Dwight gets picked a lot.

Yes, but there's a huge gap between the two. It's like comparing Durant to Richard Jefferson.

Its pre season, please man. It doesn't mean anything the same way Lakers losing all of their pre season games means nothing as well.

Howard will be fantastic for ya'll in Lakers, thats all you need to know about him vs Bynum.

Post/paint production from your starting center doesn't matter?

Post/paint production isnt the same thing as lob dunks. Besides...Bynum caught a lot of lobs. Just nobody cared because he gets 9 inches off the ground to do it.
