Default School me on House and all of its varieties

One day I was perusing wiki, reading up on tons of vaguely related subject matter so that once I get my first shipment of NZT, I can put Bradley Cooper to shame, I stumbled upon the history of house music.

From the get go, I was definitely interested. I kinda chuckled because it's another black creation that has been mastered by others, but I dug it. From what I understand, it's the evolution of disco and soul music in an electronic form. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Naturally that would make sense since that it started with black DJ's in Chicago who experimented with their favorite records to create this sound. Then it spread through cities like Detroit, Toronto, New York and now it's a global phenomenon with huge artists like Daft Punk and Swedish House Mafia.

Some of my favorites are Koreless, Jacques Greene, XXYYXX(not sure if house tbh), SBTRKT and TEED.

I wanted to gain some more info but I have no one in my social circles that knows more than me sadly. I want all types and ages in here. I don't care if your only contribution is Madonna tracks from the early 90's anything house-related is fine. As you can tell I am not that knowledgeable so help a brother out.

Look up Michael 5000 Watts on YouTube.

And other groups didn't master it they took it to clubs and turned it into techno which is kinda lame.

Yes Masters at Work is good...

if you search I think Rasheed and I posted some good classic house before but he does have good taste.

House music started if I remember correctly early 80's some of it I like some of it is ok. I am not the biggest fan of Chicago house but thats because I am from NY. The style of dancing and music was different back in the mid 80's to early 90's. (The battle goes to pizza, basketball.... etc)

chicago had a wilder open freestyle... i guess chicago was more rhythmic discoish

ny was about the illist footwork... ny was bass and baselines and grooves

Traditional House doesnt accept Hip Hop moves but House has transformed and accepted a massive embrace of different traditional styles into it.

This video has good variations of house dancing styles NY and Chicago and Hip Hopish....

This video shows traditional, hip hopish, capoeira

In the beginning their was House then there was Club then there was Freestyle then it got taken into Tecno Electronica etc....

I personally can not relate to that Techno Electronica stuff or any of the European stuff its just not danceable to me.
