So I was just sitting here looking at the standings and currently we sit at 8-19 and jumped from 14th to 11th in the matter of a week. Now, to come out of a 4-19 hole to a playoff seed would require some stellar play but our schedule has reached a soft spot and the team seems to be hitting it's stride. So, what would everyone think if we defied the odds and came out with an 8th seed?
We are now 11-20 in the 11th spot, 1.5 back on 10th place Orlando and 4 back of the 8th seed. Our next 6 games are at home and 5 of them are winnable.
Portland
Sacramento
OKC
Phily
Charlotte
Milwaukee
I didn't make an outlandish statement. It's realistic for us to sneak into an 8th seed or to at least be a fringe playoff team.
we have an outside shot. We had a bad schedule to begin the season, now the schedule is turning around in our favour. However, I pray that we don't get to the playoffs, and I don't think that we will. You need to have 40 wins at the very least to make the playoffs in the east I would say. We lost too many games early on...

I think this is probably right.
Given the weak draft and non-committal to actual rebuilding, I'd be all for pushing for the playoffs.
14-22, half a game behind 9th place Philly. 3 games coming up that are actually gonna be quite relevant to where we stand a week from now.
1/13 @ Milwaukee
1/14 vs. Nets
1/16 @ Chicago
