Default Gilbert Begins to Mend Fences with LeBron

http://www.cbssports.com/nba/blog/ey...leveland-title

The article, and Gilbert's act of apologizing, won't seem like rocket science to anyone; however, the guy laughed tonight about the letter "not being the most brilliant thing I've ever done."

I don't think LBJ will ever play here again, but I do know he won't stay in Miami. He has too much drive and passion for drama. He's going to find another avenue to go somewhere else - in particular to a place where people actually show up to games and cheer.

Gilbert beginning the process of making sure a return is at least on LBJ's mind, which many people think it already is.

Dan Gilbert is a shameless piece of shit. This proves it. At least have a ****ing spine when you write a letter like that. We all know he's trying to get LeBron back in with Kyrie.

No, I don't think I will. Unless they trade him (far more likely once he declines and plays out this contract, his last max deal), he's staying with the Heat.

I had an image of Gilbert Arenas actually fixing fences trying to get back into the league.

The Heat was never a long term solution to contention with Wade being older and injury prone, everyone knew that. The experiment has proven successful, but every scientist looks for ways to improve their own ideas after they succeed. If they didn't we'd still be driving 20 MPH on highways, and buildings would be made of logs.

Not saying I think he will return to Cleveland, although it is a possibility at this point (Cavs have the cap space now, but will they make a trade, or sign some FA's to make it dissapear?). The Lakers seems far more likely imo, but Cleveland is certainly an option, and considering how LeBron loves theatrics so much (hello Decision) it would certainly make for an epic story line.

Edit: I've always maintained, mostly because it made me feel better about the Cavs losing LeBron, that Dan Gilbert and LeBron James concocted a scheme to make the Cavs legitimate contenders for LeBron well into the end of his career. I know that's not realistic, but again it made me feel better, and I truly hope it is true.

Oh I remember these days as a Cavs fan. They were some fun times. LeBron's not going anywhere! He said so at an Obama rally!!!!!!!

LeBron said he was going to win a title in Cleveland!

He's not going to go on national TV and leave the Cavs.

Don't worry pal the LeBron free agent frenzy hasn't even begun yet... When it does you'll be hearing a ton of answers to questions that say absolutely nothing much like a politician actually.

This isn't miserable Cleveland where he has to carry bad teams. He has a stacked team around him.
