were any good at stopping rivals PGs/Athletic Ballhandlers?
it seems to go on forever... during the blake era, during the fisher era, during the smush era... i remember fox being a good defender, then flashbacks of Bibby chanelizing his inner MJ during those POs comes to my mind.
This is a serious question... when was the last time Lakers were considered a good team at stopping athletic ballhandlers/slashers/PGs, you know the type of players that disrupts by dribbling and attacking the paint?
were they any good during the van excel era?
or is just that the franchise does not emphasize defense?
They always suck in this area. Magic was horrible too. He should be grateful he got HIV otherwise Bobby Hurley was gonna dump 50 on him every game.
None of the PG's the Lakers have had in the past few years have been even decent defensively. I find it funny that the Lakers went out and got the only PG in the NBA that is worse than Fisher defensively though lol, maybe Calderon too.
