The Nets played another good 3rd quarter, and dialed up the defense and won going away. It was good to see Joe get it going again. Reggie Evans is out there looking like a Greek God on the boards. He is my favorite signing thus far.

Same. He's quickly becoming a fan favorite, people chant his name at games sometimes in the 1st quarter. I love his energy and hustle, something you can never have enough of.
Gotta get ready for the big game tomorrow against the Manhattan Knicks.
Not a bad result, although I was expecting a blowout against an Aldridge-less Blazers. Well nvm, we are 8-4 now, just beat the lowly Knicks next and we take the atlantic division.

Credit to them, they hit some unbelievable shots. They scored 9 points off last seconds buzzer beating shots. They also hit some difficult step back 3s but it was that kind of night for the Blazers. Can't wait for Monday. This win would put us first in the Atlantic and second in the east overall.
If Deron can wake up and shoot like the allstar he can be... Nets got this. Felton/Kidd have nothing on the Allstar Deron Williams. Lopez has his troubles vs Chandler. Hopefully Joe can play like he has the last 2 games too.

Well the Knicks may win the regular season, but in the playoffs they will be the same Knicks all over again. Sure they may win a series if playing a really bad team in the conference, but thats as far as they go. Mike Woodson is also known for being a great regular season coach, and poor playoffs coach. Just like how the Hawks did under him lol.
The Nets are really coming along defensively. Although they desperately need P&R help, they are doing a good job communicating with each other. Next up; The Boston Celtics at TD Garden. Another tough game, another victory. (hopefully).

I think we will win this and the next one against the Magic. The nets has a trend of winning 5 games in a row and then drop 2 straight. If we win 5 straight our record will be 11-4, pretty decent. And then we play Miami, thats likely when the streak ends.
Nets actually lead the league in opponents PPG. People don't give them credit because of slow paced offense, but the fact that they get wins out of it speaks volumes. This is literally a 180 turnaround from last year.
One thing I noticed about Joe Johnson; despite his poor plays with bricks thrown all over the place he does an excellent job of forcing double teams and making cross passes for open shots. I don't why teams keep doubling him. If he's shooting poorly they should stick with man to man matchups until he shows a mismatch down the stretch. While it's frustrating watching him struggle he's quietly being effective. And he's one hell of a defender too. Didn't know he can stay in front of his man so well.
What a game. Haven't been this exicited over one game in a long time.

Reality is that if you leave Joe Johnson wide open he can make these shots, like how he did in the last two games before playing the Knicks(8-12, and then 10-19). If you double-team him you leave guys like Brook Lopez with much more chance for easy basket. For opposing teams this definitely is a dilemma.
