woulda-coulda-shoulda, but if you want to get paid like an elite PG, you need to shoot at LEAST .333 from the arc. you're the biggest star on the team, in your prime, with plenty of other offensive weapons around you. so no excuses. if your wrist is hurting you too much then you need to pass those shots up, because you're killing us.

As far as I know, DWill is playing half-injured. This will inevitably affect his shooting performance, so he better concentrates on feeding the ball to his teammates nowadays.

He needs someone to feed it to. Joe should be the leading scorer on this team right now with Brook out but hes struggling mightily. Gerald isn't gonna average 20 a game, neither is Blatch, Hump, Reggie or any of the other guys. Joe really needs to step it up or MarShon should take some of his minutes.

ON THE BRIGHT SIDE, we got two very winnable games in Chicago and Detroit. These are MUST wins to get our confidence back up because the locker room must be pretty down right now.

we only needed to squeeze a couple more shot attempts out of that group. that's not asking too much, is it? unfortunately i'm only watching pieces of games these days, but too many times i see deron have the ball at the top of the circle with everyone set up in half court and loads of time on the shot clock, and he decides to take a three. for no good reason at all. not because his wrist feels fine, not because he's been shooting good, not because time is running out and not because there's no options. just... nothing. nothing as far as i know except he's feeling that allen iverson vibe, maybe.

i think this is one of those things where fans and players can get a million miles apart on. they might be feeling depressed, but at the same time, at the end of the day they get to go home as multimillionaires who can console themselves that they almost beat the #1 team in the east. and that bropez was out and the season is still pretty early and the refs didn't do them any favors at the end of the game. you just never know, is my point. sometimes we fans can be way off on this kind of thing.

How about losing these games and having Avery Johnson fired? This team is just one good coach away from going on a long and convincing winning streak.

The offense isn't as crisp as it was during our 5 game win streak. The ball movement is gone and most our points are coming off of isolation now which is terrible.

And I totally agree they probably aren't as down as the fans are but they still get upset if they lose a close game like this. They want to win as much as we do. Especially against a big rival like NYK.

Not at all impressed with the win against a depleted raptors team but of course we'll take a win.

Im praying for Lopez to comeback, obviously dont want to rush him back, like they have been doing but you can see the flaws in this team without Lopez, scary stuff if he does not remain healthy.

Bogans over Brooks in the rotation is just annoying. Bogans has lost a step with his defense and his man always breaks past him and he ends up committing lazy fouls.

If Brooks got into rotation and Tele lived up to his play from Europe this team could be much better.

Ugly way to close out the game but at least the losing streak is over. Detroit and Chi-town are up next lets get a streak going again.

i'm cool with the win. these letdowns happen all the time against bottom feeding teams. it's how you deal with it that makes the difference. but the nets showed their mettle, and JJ looked like a legit primary option in the 2nd half. woohoo!

IMO the score wasn't really that close at the end. the raps decided to spend the clock on high-percentage two-pointers instead of going for the win. it's true the nets stalled, but all that did was make it a tight win instead of otherwise.

and d-will still thinks he's a steve nash shooter out there. i wonder if this is why he didn't like playing for sloan?

I doubt that was the reason for the feud. If anything it's a flaw from Avery's system because his 3 point attempts have spiked since he landed in Jersey to go along with terrible efficiency. But according to netsdaily Avery's coaching job is secured so it's up to Deron to find his way.

Well, maybe that's it. Or maybe he needs a ref to pressure his shot once in a while, like with Hump.

Cool Joe came through in the clutch with a NASTY stepback jumper. What a game. It shouldn't have been close in the first place but winning a close game like this definitely helps moral.

Deron has lost all of my faith. He can't shoot and his defense is two times worse than his abysmal offensive production. He constantly gets killed by every damn guard he goes up against. In the last 3 minutes of the fourth he missed the ball, turned it over, and let the rookie teague score on him. This is just unacceptable and I'm fed up with this piece of shit scrub we invested 100 million into.
