I hope the Raptors didn't feel obligated to re-sign him simply because he was a top 10 pick. I hope they legitimately believe he has some massive improvements in him (I disagree though). Sometimes you just have to cut your losses with disappointing players.
Well, there's that too.
The last thing I would say is DeMar is someone who would relax after getting paid. I definitely think he can bounce back this season, but I agree with you that the Raptors should have probably let him walk and seen what they could have gotten out of Ross.

I believe that, dude regressed badly after a reasonably promising 1st year. His shot is broken, I would like to see him make a go of things in Toronto. I did like the dude.
