Default Guess who Canada and UK would vote for U.S. President?

Quote:
A new poll has found Canadians prefer Barack Obama to Mitt Romney by a seven-to-one margin.

The Angus Reid survey is just one of a series of recent polls to find that were Obama facing Canadian voters, he would likely win a landslide victory.

Asked whom they would vote for if allowed to participate in the U.S. election, 72 per cent of Canadians said they would cast a ballot for Obama, while 10 per cent chose Romney. Eighteen per cent of respondents were unsure.

Results were similar in the United Kingdom, with 62 per cent voting for Obama and 6 per cent for Romney. Thirty-two per cent were unsure.

I know....they all are just librul socialist commies, right?

How is it what seems so obvious to everyone else is not so obvious to sheltered, backwards thinking Americans. How can it possibly be 50/50 Obama/Romney right now.

It should be 1% voting for Romney (the wealthy), and the rest of us voting for Obama. So many clueless Americans. What is it about our culture that people can't vote in their best interests?

You realize some people don't want free handouts from the government, right? Some people would rather see this country continue to lead the free world as an economic powerhouse than receive a free handout. Some people take pride in working for what they earn and don't feel entitled to other people's money.

I agree with your assessment. Barack Obama is a president FOR THE PEOPLE. He stands with the middle class and the poor. How could America not want a people's president? The numbers on the economy have slowly improved and its being done the RIGHT WAY; by strengthening and creating jobs for the middle class, while implementing social reforms in places like healthcare (which hurts rich insurance execs while providing security of health to the nation [how is that bad?])

Someone mentioned in another thread that the republicans always have a 'trick' to boost economic numbers (ie creating a bubble), which may inflate economic stats due to rich mans success on wall street, while doing nothing for the middle class. Obama is a man of the people and is executing a slow but sure recovery done the right way. That is why he will be getting my vote

Right because Obama is so great. Your kids (and grandkids) are going to hate your guts for paying off the loans due to the president you voted in.

It's because the American Left is a pretty moderate party in international politics, a bit right leaning even. I'm sure there's some party but I can't think of a major one internationally that is the equivalent of the GOP/Tea Party.

are you kidding me? Of course the rest of the world wants Obama to win we don't have the same interests. The weaker America is the more they can bully us if we have any diplomatic or trade arguments. Do you think the rest of the world wants USA to be the commercial and technological hub of the world? You think they want the world's best scientists flocking to our universities and businesses? You think they want us to have overwhelming military power? NO. They want an Obama-weakened America so they can push their own interests more effectively

The fact that these other countries want to vote for your guy isn't something you BRAG about lol it's a huge red flag.

You're way off on this one. As a Canadian, I"m aware that a stronger US means a stronger Canada. It's not just that, we actually like the US and care for Americans as much as our own. However, we do not support many things that the far right do. We believe the rich are entitled to their success and wealth, but not at the expense of others. Also, those who have fallen on hard times or are not well off, regardless of the reason, deserve many of the services the rich do including health care, education, food and shelter. Everyone I know is pro-Obama because we believe he is a genuinely good person and seeks the well being of all Americans rather than a select few. Romney seems like an alright guy, kind of fake though. We just see the world differently I guess. I would argue that our world is better as well, better for all.
