It's like talking to a brick wall when you try to explain this to a right winger. Then again they wouldn't be who they are if they cared about what is really going on. Money buys them their power.

It's because the world doesn't know nor care who Romney is.

Obama is a charming well spoken black guy, people like that.

My guess is that Canadians and Brits are more informed on Obama and Romney than most Americans are. American presidential election is a big deal. Gets press everywhere.....and they probably get the unfiltered version, not the U.S. Corporate Media take on things.

Yeah, because Obama has done such a great job the last 4 years.

To be honest, I don't like either one of them. This country needs to get back to common sense and get rid of the "politicians".

This. It does get plenty of coverage here. I bet my family and friends and I know more about American politics than 95% of Americans. Being so close neighbours, your policies do affect us and it's smart for us to be aware of them.

Anyhow, based on the party Romney represents Canadians and Brits wouldn't lean towards Romney, considering the GOP is extremely conservative and right wing by their standards. Even the democratic party is.

Doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the faces in front of the party. Switch the two figureheads and people in those countries would still align more with the democratic party by a huge majority.
