Arrow Using SNES controller with PC?

Hey Bros,

I'm trying to get my retro on, and I was hoping to get a snes controller to work for my PC, or to find something supposed to mimic an SNES controller, or at least somethign similar.

I want to jam to some donkey kong kountry 2 but I need to do it proper: with an emulator and a real controller.

Any tips for me?

I guarantee that it'd be easier to get an 8-12 button controller and some SNES Roms than hunting down the (probably non-existent) SNES controller PC adapter.

I've been looking for controllers... the one on amazon that looks the best got terrible reviews and forums that talk about it discuss homebrew options too much for my tastes.

Hoping there is a standard controller used by gamers but it isn't looking that way

Just walk into a Best Buy or Microcenter or whatever electronics store is in your area that isn't Radio Shack. If you just want to play SNES games you aren't looking for top of the line anyway.

I did my own USB conversion with a real SNES controller. But I still prefer to use the 360 controller just because it's a lot easier on the thumbs.

If you can solder, it's an easy hack. If you can't solder, WTF is wrong with you? Soldering is pretty easy.

You can go with a SNES to USB adapter:

...or you can go with many other various SNES like PC controllers:
