Re: Kobe is the best player on this 2012-13 Lakers team
Thought Dwight was their best player in last night's loss, but Kobe outplayed him tonight. Still, Dwight is nowhere near 100%. Bill Simmons said he looks like he's at about 70%, which may be a little too much, but Howard is clearly not close to 100%. I know Kobe isn't either, but he's a lot closer than Dwight in my opinion. Last night Dwight was the focal point of the offense, was getting swarmed and mugged all night, and finished with 33-15-5 and went 15/19 from the FT line. Last night he was "clearly" the best player on the team. It was more-or-less a wash in the Dallas game. Dwight's horrific 3/14 FT shooting night might give Kobe the nod, but Dwight finished with 19 and 10 on 8/12 shooting and drew a ton of attention almost every time he caught the ball inside.
I will say, though, I didn't see Kobe starting off averaging 30.7 PPG on 61% shooting in the first three games. That's VERY impressive.
But really, who gives a shit? The Lakers are 0-3. Does it really matter if Kobe is better than Dwight or the other way around?
