8 games and 165 total passes...... they rely very little on his ability to throw the ball.....he plays in an offense that is hard to evaluate just how good a QB prospect he is, makes very few throws from within the pocket on a 5 step, 7 step drop.
He's a developmental NFL QB prospect if he even stays there.
He's basically the prototypical athletic college QB who's just not a NFL QB. How many times have we've seen this before?? But that being said I'm sure he'll make his way onto a NFL roster and I'm sure a team will find use of his abilities in a wildcat/gadget type of formation and possibly convert him to a different position.
not really sure how his game translates to the NFL tbh. he can run but his passing ability (not stats cuz tebow had legendary passing stats as well) is kinda week

he has better numbers than Tebow but shit Tebow was still a legit NFL prospect and even taken first round...granted he shouldn't have been drafted that high, but still...
Luck had nearly 80 more pass attempts 8 games into his last season at Stanford. He averaged 30.3 pass attempts per game compared to 20.6 pass attempts per game for Klein this year. Don't get me wrong, the 70% completion rate is impressive, but trying to pass his 70% off as being equal to Luck's is just silly.
And I'm not even implying Klein's comp% would take a big hit if he started attempting 10 more passes a game, but it's not really the same thing. He's a great college QB, but I'm not sure he's an NFL QB.

so he isn't a good prospect because he can't throw well?

Tebow's college passing stats dwarf Kleins. Guy has thrown 465 college passes, completing 62%, 26 TD 8 INT
Tebow completed almost 200 more than Klein has attempted, 66%, 88 TD 16 INT
I'm sure the small sample size, wierd throwing motion and specialty offense has NFL guys spooked.
It's a QB starved league and he'll certainly get a shot. Hell, they're willing to pretend Jake Locker is an NFL QB. But I would expect the Tebow experiment has them a bit gun shy.

you're comparing entire years of Tebow to a half season of Klein...Klien's comp% is higher, and his current passer rating is higher than Tebow's ever was

No, those are Collin Kleins career passing numbers:
200-465, 62.4 %, 26 TD's, 8 INT's.
Those are his numbers for his whole career, not half of a season.
