Default if you switched garnett with dirk or duncan, woud either team improve?

I've felt garnett has faded the last couple of years, but he basically decimated the Suns tonight. but on the other hand, dirk and duncan kill the Suns too.

I don't think there would be a drastic improvement but, I don't think that there would be a drop-off either. I think Garnett would fit well in Dallas and SA's systems because of their focus on defense.

I hope the Wolves can make the playoffs as an 8th seed and they beat the Suns

Mavs improve. Spurs? so far this season I think they'd have basically the same record maybe a better one but they'd be worse off come playoff time, albeit not by the wide margin that people seem to think.

the mavs get worse. They would struggle to score.

absolutely unjustifyable statement.

dALLas is more likely to be 1 given their schedule. they'd likely sweep the wolves out

switch dirk with garnett, and dallas won't be the same. dirk stretches the defense all over the perimeter with his outside shooting ability. he just opens up a lot of the floor. kg can shoot, but he ain't dropping 3's like that german dude.

really? Dirk is a better offensive player than KG. Thats not really in question. The mavs have no one who needs a double other than dirk. Kg does need a double but not as much you think. So much of the mavs offense revolves around dirk or his prescence.

Dallas would be better. Better defensively, stronger on the boards. About the same offensively, KG would be even more efficient from the field since he wouldn't have to carry the load in every category.

dallas wouldnt be close to the same offensively. dirk is a better offensive player than kg. Some of you guys dont understand just how bad dallas sucks without dirk on the court offensively. The mavs score at a 116.6 pp100 possessions clip with dirk on the court. The twolves meanwhile score at 107.7 with kg on the court. Considering they score almost exactly the same with the respective players off the court i would say its very fair to say that dirk effects his teams offense alot more than kg does.

Here's a tidbit joewait, players can remain the same dispite thier lack of team success. First step is to acknowledge, and evaluate that players team. KG never took a step back, never started to decline but fans think that happenes when teams LOSE. Then when they beat a great team its "Wow, he still is good.". KG could do Dirks job and then some.

nope. i do agree that winning doesnt inherently mean a player is better than a counterpart that doesnt but its not like minny has no talent like everyone wants to say. that team wins 50 games is dirk is there instead of garnett.

garnett isn't capable of leading a team in the 4th like dirk. otherwise they are prety much the same and dirk is quickly closing the gap on defense while remaining light years better than garnett offensively

Dirk isnt closing the gap defensively. Lets not kid ourselves...you got the offense without a doubt but not the defense. KG can lead a team in the 4th. You switch the two and you'll see.
