Dikembe Mutombo

He did what Ben Wallace did (#83 on our list), but did it for twice as long...seriously. And that is not just a quick little thing to say to quickly sum up their careers. It is the truth. Ben Wallace had a short impact on the league because his first five years were wasted.

Mutombo should be at least 20 spots higher than Ben Wallace.

- 8x all-star
- 4x DPOY
- 3 All-NBA teams
- 6 All-Defensive teams

...and a lot of that was in the mid 90's, which was the most center heavy era in the league's history.

Wallace has a ring. That's the difference. Undrafted. Another big difference.
What's wasted about Ben Wallace's career? A championship is a big impact on any league. Having said that, they are both great, great players.

Lenny Wilkens.

A top 50 player should not fall out of the top 100.
