Default Doc Rivers how was he so trash in Orlando and now great in Boston?

How was this man a bottom feeding coach in Orlando with prime Tmac and then went to Boston and becomes Top 3 coach in the league.

Team roster was trash not Doc. T-mac was one man army back in a day. That's not good recipe for team success.

he was also trash in boston until they got KG and Allen.

He's overrated as a coach.

i still don't think Doc Rivers is a great coach nor do i think Spoelstra is a good coach. those rings sure do change perceptions tho.

He is very predictable as a coach and very over rated. He is not a good offensive coach, watch game 7 of the 2010 NBA finals v Lakers, there up 13 in the 4th and can't score, because Doc goes to the same predictable plays.

Deja Vu against the Heat over the last two seasons in NBA playoffs.

The Boston team has been stacked with talent over the past five years, and no doubt there a great defensive team, but offensively there weak.

Now the way Ray Allen is playing in Miami is making Doc handling of him last year look even worse.

Thank you.

And I should add, I love Doc Rivers...and he did a fine job with Orlando. His team sucked. But he's overrated, at least since 2010. His offense is garbage. Look at how stacked his team is. I don't care if KG isn't the same KG. He's still an elite defensive player, a very good rebounder, and a good offensive player (would be nice if they ever utilized his passing). Paul Pierce and Rajon Rondo are elite and amongst the very best players in the entire league. Plus, they depth is crazy.

Their team was much better than Miami's two years ago...had it just come down to Wade and James being the two best players on the floor, that would be fine. But the team, as a whole, was disappointing. And that's on Doc Rivers.

I always felt like Doc was a good offensive coach
but after Thibs left the C's have been inconsistent with their D

still...a good coach imo
