They can't seem to get over .500. Their defense caused them the game and they couldn't get stops when they needed. The Rockets are similar in terms of having great offense and not so good defense, but they are playing pretty well regardless, and they are more entertaining to watch imo.
Howard only 1-7. It's amazing. Gasol only 2-12. Gasol has been crappy all season, but it's not entirely his fault. He isn't going to the post and is shooting like the coach wants him to. Howard isn't healthy, but the Lakers success has to do with him.
Nash is doing what is expected I think. He is running the offense well, and taking smart and good shots.
And their next game is against the Clippers. So, it isn't going to be any easier.
The Lakers are the story of the season. I'm amazed on how much they lost and the way they lose. Any win is a good one for them at this point. There are still at ton of games left, so they have time to figure it out. But the playoffs won't be so easy for them if they make it. Lots of tough teams.
The next will be the Rockets, and they've been playing very well. After them then the Spurs and Thunder.
Now Howard, Hill, and Gasol are all injured. Their big frontline on the road trip.
INJURY UPDATE: @DwightHoward has a torn labrum in his right shoulder. He'll travel with the team but is out at least a week.
INJURY UPDATE: @paugasol suffered a concussion and will not travel with the team to Texas.
INJURY UPDATE: @jordanchill43 has an injured hip and also will not be with the team on the upcoming road trip.
