If the raps blow it up early, who will they get rid of and what realistically can they get in return.

My hunch is that we would be trading away bargs, calderon, and somehow fields, although that seems unlikely.

Calderon holds some trade value.
Bargs has a reasonable contract, but needs to be matched with a howard type, or be the first post of the bench.
Not sure about fields.
Would the raps trade bargs for a mid-first rounder.
Could they get a late first rounder for jose, maybe.

Maybe the spurs would deal with us.
Bargs and calderon for splitter, gary neal and matt bonner.

Lowry's injury might not be the worst thing for the raps, calderon is playing out of his mind. His stock is high, upon Lowry's return to health, I wouldn't mind seeing if the raps could get something of real value in return. Probably trading him with Ed Davis and one of our wings, maybe Anderson. Could we get a top flight wing coming back the other way with those three guys. Or a really good draft pick. We could offer a contender a great point guard or cap space to a non contender.

No deal likely before trade deadline...

That is where teams will decide to trade and fold for next season, or one last push.

I hope for:

Josh Smith - Atlanta - assuming the "team make over" continues.

Rudy Gay - Memphis - assuming they are out of serious contention for a finals appearence and the roster is shaken and stirred to free up cap space (Calderon)

I worry about:

Okafur, OJ Mayo ( cap space clearence in big D), anything from the Knicks, anuthing from the Lakers, anything from the Bulls like Deng.
